What makes you think there is a problem?

In the picture, that's the exhaust valves with no cams installed, the valves would seal, on both sides of the head were like that, just gunked up

I don't see the problem....

That is a picture of the exhaust port, that is light that you see, not a valve seat!!!  Those valves are gunked up and won't seal

Bent valves maybe? Seems unusual (again) for so many problems to happen all at once though. You can pull the valves, indicate the stems for straightness, replace what's needed, etc, etc, or just buy a new head.

Yea, I just went ahead and got a head, paid $50 for it.

Anyone have a good place to get a good cheap gasket kit? I know those two words should never be used together but, money's alittle tight right now
