Fork seal question

I noticed today that tiny amounts of fork oil is leaking under the dust cap on one of the forks and has run down onto the ground. Also when I compress the fork there is oil residue on the fork. So after looking around I'm pretty sure I need to replace the seal and have seen some of the posts and videos on YouTube. My question is where can I find fork seals. I have an 07 gs500f and on bike bandit they say it doesn't fit. Is that true? I don't have a suzuki dealer around me to go to. Thanks for the help

Fork seals are easy to get. Just one thing... be wary of Pyramid Parts oil seals. I've fitted a few PP sets recently which were absolute crap!
Beam me up Scottie....

All fork seals for the gs are the same as far as I can remember
Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

unless your wiper/dust bits are cracked or really poor condition you dont really need to replace them .. just give them a once over with a clean cloth ..

I did replace my wipers on an 06F 'just to be sure' .. but i did have some really minor pitting/rust spots on the forks as well..

I tried Pyramid seals also to start with ... they looked different from the OEM ones ? ... and started leaking within a week of installation ..

some users here have had no problem though..

if you have the few extra $$ i would still go for the OEM type seals  :thumb:

Thanks for all the help. Didn't figure the dust caps would be $40 though. I will have to replace both probably there are little cracks all along the top of them.

Also just to be sure with that's link they don't come in sets right? When I click quantity 2 on the oem parts I'm actually getting 2 and not 4 correct?

kyled25

correct; the OEM ones are sold individually
