Hi guys! how are you doing?

First, sorry if i miss-understanding something, i'm from Latinoamérica and i'm not talking in english very often.

Months ago i buy a 2008 GS, with some thing to do. I always like the cafe's looks, and that's the mod i'm going to.

So far, the little mods:

- Black Napoleon Mirros
- Led dashes and led speedo
- LED tail light
- Retro/Vintage turn signals

Next to do, some questions:

- Chain? Brand, type, etc
- Tires? Pirelli Sport Demon, Michelin Pilot Street / Pilot Activ, stock sizes or some else...
- Adjustable Levers?

Later, going for:

- K&N louchbox
- Dynojets (this is some staff for the mechanic, i don't have the balls to do that haha)
- Exhaust
- Handlebars: club man, clip ons, low bars, not decided yet

Thanks, and greetings from Uruguay, the best country for play Soccer, eat "dulce de leche", and dance some Tango  8)

are you keeping the same gearing? I went from stock down to a 14t front. made ALOT of difference at starts. but highway speed was affected. chainwise I kept stock chain. just shortened.

I think i'm going to stay with stock gearing for now, just chain replacement.

What chain do you recomend? Brand, type, etc.

Hey can you tell me how you wired up that tail light? I want to get it on ebay but i dont know how to wire it.   Do I just cut off the old plug and then just directly wire the correct colors right on? And do you need a load resister? Thanks

Hi, it's really simple, this tail light come with one 1157 buld conector (in GS's are two 1157), the other bulb connector doesn't have to be used (only use the hole to wire the turn signal cables). The two yellow cables are for the turn signals (both positives: one for left, one for right), the negative pole it's included in the 1157 bulb connector. Each of this two yellow cables has to be connected to the corresponsables positives turn signals.

I hope i've being hopeful  :thumb:

So if I don't want to use the turn signal function, all I have to do is plug in the brake light?

Exactly, if you want to use only the function of "tail light", yes, you plug the 1157 in one side.

Later i'm going to upload a video with the light working.

as far as tires, as Gsjack hes an older fellow here, but hes been riding longer than most of us have been alive. he knows tires. BUT he will ask what type of riding you do, areas etc etc etc and suggest the proper tire for your use. that chain btw is a nice choice my friend. until next time, Adios amigo :)
