:D :thumb: ... Gee Jim ... You are disturbingly overqualified in technique and creativity for everything you touch eh!!  :D ;) ... Bravo Grandioso!

CrispThat

I have never seen two calipers on the same disk before.

Double the heat, overheating breaks if pushed?

Janx101

yeah but if you take a close look at the disk... it looks fairly specialised too! .. i reckon with all the work Jim had put in on his machines that overheating brakes is not gonna happen eh!  :) :thumb:

CrispThat

Makes sense.

Just had to ask. I have never seen that before. Looks really good...

Jim Knopf

Servus,

the brake is taken from the original OR rear brake and tested before installation.
Due to the small brake calipers the brake disk can cool fast enough.
The original disk is eventually replaced by a wave plate and thus are better values to be expected.

But nice that you like my stuff, I'm building there.

And I'm sorry  won't be in Germany this year or I'd go see it in person. I'll be in Prague but promise to look down and wave as I pass through Frankfurt on the way to Prague.

How long ago was it put on display?!!! I visited a friend in Germany earlier this year (April?) and he brought me to that museum... there was a lot of stuff to take in, but I am sure that GS would have stuck out in my mind!!

Servus,

the GS stands since November 13 in the Technik Museum Sinsheim.

She remains there throughout the year 2014.
