I have 2 that I'm not using. makes sense so you don't have to chop off the fender if you don't want it. Here we need it because streets are always wet and water gets thrown up on your back from the rear wheel if you don't have the fender going down the back.

Adidas,
The 2 you have are they aftermarket? If so do they have their own stop and turn signals or do they use stock ones?

Five Stars aka TCP.
They both use the stock signals mounted to the new fairing bracket so that means any signals can be used.
See the general area thread on the fairings.
Same as used here and on Junior.

help help help!!!!!

I have been asked to display HUHSKY at the international motorcycle show in February.
Starting the 27th of December, after I get back from Prague, anyone willing to offer any help will be appreciated.

Wow! Bike not even finished and scheduled for a show in 8 weeks. I know we can do it!

I plan to have the bike running by New Year's Day. Then it is putting on the fairings and go riding the 2nd week of January ...... I hope.

Wow! HUHSKY will be in the international motorcycle show!

Powered up HUHSKY!
Electrical system works. Starter works. Turn signals work. Headlight works. Brake light works.
Anxious to put on muffler and hit the starter button with some starter fluid and hear him bark to life.
Brake lines on. Need to wheel him outside to fill them up.

IDEA: I have extra fairings. I'll use an extra set to get all the brackets on and be sure every thing fits. Then just a simple swap out of the used fairing and put on the real stuff. That will eliminate the possibility of scratching the fairing while getting the brackets installed.

SEA206 (aka Matt) came over today. Lots of progress.
Progress today....
* Bar ends
* Motad muffler
* Muffler guards
* Gimbel shift lever connected
* 3 point clutch adjustment
* Dual headlights wired in

Found a few things I need to deal with:
* sorter clutch cable (have, just need to swap)
* Longer throttle cable. Thought right one for newer carbs but too short
* Choke cable - had older one but need to find a newer one for the 2001 carbs

Anyway, Matt decided to put the carbs on. When he want out to the bike cave and returned with a can of starter fluid, I took that as another hint he wanted to hear the motor run. So...........

HE RUNS! HE IS  ALIVE!

Still lots of little things to do. He should be running up and down the alley Saturday. Tomorrow will be a clean up day, tighten bolts and get the fairing brackets on (since some go on the motor mount bolts).

Matt is so tall he makes HUHSKY look really small - then the wide angle lens to take the picture doesn't help.

adidasguy

Anyone available Today Wednesday? How about Saturday? I think Saturday (maybe Wednesday) we can be riding him down the alley for some road test. (After 10am please)

Should I add fog lights to the forks?
The right hand control has headlight switches. I can reroute them to the fog lights or make it {off}-{headlight}-{fog+headlight}

I plan to add a relay to bypass the clutch switch if bike is in neutral. Much handier when working on a bike and you need to start it. That will be handy on cold days when bike starts without choke and you have to immediately bring on the choke to get it warmed up. Fiddling with the clutch lever gets my fingers all confused. I could add a manual switch to bypass the clutch switch when you want to - but that would still let you start in gear ---which could be helpful when bump starting with a weak battery. (A little ump while being able to hit the starter while in gear should make bump starting really ease.)

The Kawasaki EX500 starts in neutral with no clutch. If in gear, clutch must be pulled in.

No intention of overriding side stand kill switch when in gear.

Looking great, I have read all the replies but can't remember if I read it on not but what footpeg sets are them? Need some for my bike.

All wiring finished.
As add-ons I'll put a switch for 4-way flashers and change wiring to allow starting in neutral without holding in clutch (the way most other bikes work).
Gauges are on. Sweet! Not sure if I'll change the bracket to silver or paint the handle bar setup.
Because I'm using 89-00 controls (new-old-stock is why and NOS wiring harness) I had to make mods for the choke and throttle to work correctly with newer (2001+) carbs, Choke was drilling an extra spot for the cable. Throttle was shaving a little off the stop on the throttle tube so the carb end of the cable was longer.

Looks like with brakes, air box and tank he will be outside running around the block Saturday. The start of a week long shake down to be sure mechanicals are OK before putting on the Huskies parts.

Choke mod: newer one on left. Older one with extra hole on the right.

A low mileage bike he will be for sure!
