Hi!
I'd like to know if these:
http://www.amazon.com/Progressive-Suspension-Fork-Springs-11-1128/dp/B000WK3PFA
would fit an '04 GS500F (Amazon says they wouldn't, but I don't know about suspension changes after 2000), and whether or not any of you could/would recommend them (sorry for the link if inappropriate).
Thanks in advance!

I used the same ones in my 06. Good upgrade.

Thanks, guys!
So the spring itself would be the same (no matter the production year) with different oil level (10mm more air gap), I presume. Or is that something I would want to go specific with?

Go Sonic (Rich,the owner,is a board member).
Our forks are sort-of already progressive due to the trapped air and compression of that air.
Sonics are great.
I have progressives in one bike and Sonics in all others, Can't tell the difference so get Sonics and support a business that is also aboard member.
For my weight Iget0.85's. If 200 pounds,then get 0.90's.

Instructions give oil lever (about 110mm space as I recall). 10w is stock but it seems most of us go 15w.

Oh, and same for all years GS500.

Problem is, I'm located in Europe and not sure if they ship here. Amazon/Ebay mostly does.
But, assuming they do and I'll order from them, may I ask how much you weigh without gear, and how stiff your forks feel with the 0.85's?
The Sonic calculator tells me to use 0.85/0.90 if I change a few pounds, and they do come and go :D

I'm sure he will ship to you.
0.85 for 175 pounds. Really great.
If you have adjustable fork caps, you can play with preload.
Also you can make the preload more than suggested for a stiffer ride.

If they ship to Australia I'm pretty sure they will be able to get them to you. Only thing is he doesn't ship fork oil internationally as its flammable.

I think they buy fork oil in Europe.

You think?

Was just informing the OP in case he tried to combine fork oil in his order like I tried to do in mine. It worked out cheaper than buying it here but alas no shipping o'seas.  :thumb:

RichDesmond

Yep, we ship all over the world.

And thanks guys for recommending us, 'preciate it.   :thumb:

Another success story for Sonic's over here. It made a world of difference, and can't beat the price!
