So we get a day that it goes up to 50 degrees , I head out for a shake down ride on my new toy.  40 miles later, about 3 mile from home I end up behind a older Suburban.  It's a rural 2 lane road, fairly straight.  With in a mile the suburban drops the right two tires off the road at least twice and is varying it's speed between 35 and 60.  I assume someone is texting and back way off just in case there is a problem.  The vehicle slows down again and the SUV turns into a driveway (well sort of)....it turns, runs across the drive and runs dead center into a tree.  Hit the tree with enough speed to push the radiator into the block of the engine....steam from broken radiator all over.

I stop quickly and start toward the wrecked vehicle.  3 guys have run out of the house by this point and are trying to pull open the doors...they are jammed by the impact.  As I get about 20 feet from the vehicle the guys holler at me that everything is O.K. and that I should go back to my bike and leave.

Discretion being the better of valor... I left.  Called 911...they sent a cruiser....I talked to the officer.

By the way.....Yes, I had a great ride and the GS couldn't have run better or been more fun.

Odd. Drunk/no insurance/no license I presume. Good choice on calling the police.
