I am so scared to stop!!

Since I had my bike, and whenever I tried to stop at a traffice light  or wherever I need to stop, my front tire wobbles (I think). I always feel I lose a control and slip.
I use both front and rear break to stop gradually. Is my riding wrong or my bike  wrong?  :dunno:

I believe that was one of reason, I went down (at a very clear staright lane) last Sunday.

Does the front brake pulse when applied evenly at slow speeds? If so, the rotor may be warped.

How worn is the tire?
Common sense in not very common.

OK fork brace being loose, bent or not there, tire uneven, and spacers on the axles and that floater spacer inside the wheel being wrongly installed, missing or wrong, and swingarm pivot having excessive play can all cause this. So can wheel alignment, and other things, cant remember at the moment, but there is a huge list. Damn I hate handling problems, cos I have an eliminator that totally handles like an over loaded wheel barrow, but cant find the problem, so its a feature of the eli I think.
Cool.

Hi-T

Have you let anyone else ride your bike?  I would find an experienced rider friend or bike mechanic and have them tell you what they think it is (or if they notice it at all).  Then post back so we can get you fixed up.

MstrsLilBrat

Ok... Thanks you guys for the good advice.  I am definitely not a mechanic, and "???" is dancing in my brain when I read your posts. LOL So I will pass your opinion/advice to my friends to figure it out.

Lack of air in the front tire, or an old tire in which the side walls have perished and started to come apart unseen inside the tire can cause this sort of problem.

the few times i've noticed my front wobbling when i'd get on the brakes, is when those two nuts right under the top clamp would come loose, the ones right in the middle that hold the front end(clamps, forks, handlebars) to the frame, let me know if that sounded confusing, cause it looks confusing, but that's just how it came out of my head,

Alright! I will try to do everything!!
