Not a latch of any sort.

Mostly used on/with a specific part of a door but is never installed on a door and would not be found in a hardware store. Doors not compatible with this device probably wouldn't have a use for it anyways.

Not used to tension springs in door openers. There's a slight chance it would be usable on a clock, but not the actual clock mechanism. Not a door roller tool/tensioner. It is used to tension something, but only for a very brief time.

Used after a torsion wrench and pick, but before the lock is unlocked. Allows you to do something differently in the picking process.
