Hello everyone!
My name is Bryan and I just bought an 04 GS500F with around 18,000 miles.
I'm currently living in Miami and don't really know any other riders.
Anyways here's my bike and I hope my stay in this forum is lengthy.

Thanks! I've been kind of weary because the previous owner wasnt as good to the bike. I found this forum and i think the community would be the deciding factor as to keep the bike (if its worth it) or to cut my losses and get another one. I love the look and feel of it but I'm inexperienced with motorcycle mechanics.
Anyways, thanks for the welcome

With a pretty basic toolkit, the forums and the wiki here these things are dead-siimple to work on. Good luck!

I have a condensed kit under the seat that has everything I need to tear the bike apart and put it back together, including zip ties lol.

It's an incredibly simple machine to work on. A bit finicky at times, but simple nonetheless. And we're all here to help out.

Welcome to the forum!

Thank you everyone, I hope it's as easy as you say lol.
I'm going to start by cleaning the carbs and chain.

Have fun! I enjoy cleaning the carbs. Just be sure to have a clean, open, preferably white (to keep a good eye on small parts), workspace. And watch those diaphragm springs. I had one pop open on me and fling itself across the kitchen lol.
