Looking to buy a gs500 frame for my 89.  Must be straight, have title in hand and no back fees.  Im located in San Francisco. 

Your best bet is a 91 or later frame. The 89 and 90's have frame joints in the middle of the cross brace, they make it awfully hard to get the motor out and back in ...

89's also lack easy access to the shock bolt. And some 89's for some reason are low! That we have never figured out.
Since 89-00 are the same design and tail plastics, get the newest one you can get.

I suggest avoiding actual 1989 frames.

Parts are the same for 89-00 and 95% the same 89 to present. My HUHSKY bike is 1998 frame and has parts from 1989 through 2013.

Copy that.   edit-  looking for any gs500 frame!

Well, remember 89-00 is old style tank and tail.
2001+ is new style so if you already have tank and tail, you need to specify.
Motor, wheels, etc. don't matter.

I have both style tanks.  My track bike has the newer style and my street bike has the old style.  Doesn't matter!
