Nice. Very different from the roads here - yours actually look like they get resurfaced...

Now that brings back memories, although not that clearly- I couldn't pick where it was.  Is that the Old Pacific Highway north from the Hawkesbury Bridge?  I did my riding apprenticeship on that road, among others in the Sydney area.  Mind you, that's going back 25yrs  :o .  Still looks like a lot of fun! :thumb:

Nice wmv,  Looks like you averaged about 63mph and kept in or near the powerband. My favorite way to ride a twisty road.  So what's Pie in the Sky , anyway?

They did actually just resurface some parts of the road about a year ago and made it worse they used the really gravely surface and it didnt seem to set proply so loose gravel on some parts of it so you have to go easy in parts but I think its slowly coming good I can almost see parts of the old surface now, the best bits are still on the old surface.

Yeah thats the one  :thumb:  and did most of my training up there as well but I have to do more of the other roads or I'll go stagnet so Putty, Bells, Nasho here I come :)

Its a pie shop/cafe about 1/4 of the way along the road nice place to stop for food, drink and a ciggy, also its one of the offical meeting places for the Ulysses club which is a group in Oz, u have to be over 55 join( I'm not so phew!   sorry to the over 55 brigade  ) so the place is always full of harleys, BMWs, and jap cruises so its quite peaceful there and the veiw overlooking the hills and river are really nice in winter if you go up early the valleys are filled with low cloud looks great 8) , wait a minute its not to late might go now

:thumb:   everyone, thanks for the comments

First couple cars scared me! ;)  :) Looks like alota fun. Wish we had some twisties up here. It's mostly straight/really long wide turns. :( But good for cruisin at speed :)

Yesterday I went from Rathdowney to Kyogle (I took the long was to Byron Bay from Brissy) - my first time on it and it has about 20ks of absolutely sublime  corners (180 degree corners at 100km speed limit!), particularly where they have resurfaced it. If I ever hire a tank mounted camera, that will be the road to video...
