Been too long since I updated with my latest picks.

Last left off wrenching on the mb5. Rebuilt its clutch and had it running/riding, sold it to girl a few towns over. Here's a vid of me testing it around the neighborhood;

Finally got consistent spark on my brother's tomos;

Got the honda hobbit running/riding and sold it to a guy a few towns north.

Picked up a moby 50v for a friend of a friend;

Fixed another 50v for a previous customers friend;

finished the wheel swap on my ex's tomos;

Kitted the Garelli Flex for a bit, but pulled the parts back off for my other garelli.

Traded my 80 garelli ssxl LTD for a kitted tomos + cash. Normally would have laughed at this trade, but I'm on a mission to thin out the old non runners. Named her The General;

Picked up a rough tomos, and ended up parting it out to make back my initial investment. Still have a stack of parts for my current tomos(General);

Still picking at my 77 ssxl. Hoping to have it fully buttoned up before next spring;

Most recent is a couple crusty frames i picked up for cheap. Was after the garelli frame to rebuild with my 2 speed engine setup. Guy ended up throwing in a moby frame and stack of other spare parts. Here's the frames in the moto picker;

Here's the first mock up with rear mag and 2 speed noi setup;

Those MB5's are cool. Tiny sport bikes! There have been a few at Backfire Moto. Once in a while one shows up for sale. Considering they were sold here for maybe one year, they're cool to still find one.

A few more have come and gone

Sold the Garelli Flex to a friend of a friend looking to get into peds;

Bought and flipped another motobecane 50v;

Bought a pair of barn fresh Columbia Commuters. Sold the more complete one, parted the other out;

Also bought a stack of sachs parts and am currently parting and shipping them out now;

Picked this up last night. A rolling frame with mag wheels. This is the frame I'll build my 80cc Gila project on.

Got the tomos mags spaced and mounted on the ssxl. Got the new clutch setup back, just need to tune carb, time ignition and then test fire!

Have several Tomos' myself.  Just sold my '67.  They are so easy to work on and so many parts interchange.  Building one into a cafe racer/track bike at the moment.  Bunch of fun to ride/work on and they are cheap to buy.

Besides my GS here are some other toys:

down the road  consider selling me a frame Eh? I know they don't weigh much.  naked anyways.  will grab one of those sachs engines from you, and prep it for the huffy project. picked up a new Kevlar whitewall at thrift store for like 2?  so all parts are almost there. I get that engine, a matchin wheel for the huffy, so I have 3 wheels running whitewalls on the trike frame. and that sachs engine freshened up, id be good :)

I only mess with Tomos mopeds (well and a lot of other full size motorcycles).  I have several frames in the shop.  If you are ever in NC you are welcome to pick one up for free.  It is not worth shipping one.

I just picked up another one on Craigslist Sunday for $50.00.  It's a bit rough but I rode it up and down the street when I got home.  I can't believe they would cost much more in your area.

Bare tomos' frames will ship for cheap via usps. Shipping one with the front end jacks the price up quite a bit.

Alan, good to hear prices are still low down that way. People are starting to ask ridiculous prices around here. I can still find a good deal here and there. I am always looking to pick up cheap projects. If you ever see any down that way and you're not looking to pick it up, bounce me a PM and I'll be down there to swoop it up for sure. Really looking to get back into variated transmissions; Honda Hobbits(pa50i and pa50ii's), any/all derbi's, and I always have my eyes peeled for any cheap Garelli.

Do you go to any rallies? I've always thought it would be nuts to brap with a huge group around the cities.

Never enough !!

I'll definitely keep an eye out. I had a line on a stack of tomos' but the fella had a bit invested and didn't want to take my regular low ball of $100 for a non title/non runners haha..

Nice Alan! I'm still just bolting stuff together with welding help from a friend when hardware just won't cut it(new brake stays for the tomos mags on the garelli). Hoping to take my 80cc Gila setup the whole way - Front disc brake, hydraulic front end, welded in top tube for structural rigidity, and the dream of doing a custom sprocket/disc brake for the rear

Picked this up last night - a clean 91 Blue bullet with all kinds of brand new bits;

Yeah yama the tomos bare frame is light, probably less than 35lbs. Its the box size that drives the price. If you don't squeeze the box just right it kicks over into USPS' "very large" package rate which hikes the price from $25-35 to ~$65!

Restocking for the summer;

11 rollers(a couple complete) and stashes of extra parts. I need a bigger shed
