Hello GS Forum,
This is my first post. I just picked up a 2001 GS500. I plan on using it for commuting around the city. The only thing that I would like to do to it is add the set of Givi E34 Monokey hard cases that I have. I have searched through the site and I have not found a rack for this bike. How can a bike that is so ubiquitous not have more luggage options?! I saw lots of people doing soft luggage and racks for top cases but no give hard side bags.

So - does anybody run these? Where can I find them? It might be time to break out the mig welder! But that is more work than I was looking to do.



Also, why are there 4 different verifications before I can make a post? Serious communication bottleneck!

The 4 verifications are because of a big spamming problem the site was having. I believe it's for the first couple posts though - so it's not permanent.

As far as mounting hard cases go, I'm not much help. That mig welder will definitely do the trick.

My racks are Five Stars. Bought them from a dealer in Germany.
Search UK and German dealers for Givi, FiveStars and Hepco-Becker stuff.
Bluesmudge  (ID of a member here) bought new stuff here in Seattle. PM him.

I'm really liking the Givi Trekker's. I love how they can do a full side open or just a top flap.
