Trying to install my T-Rex sliders and the first step is to remove the large bolt for the front most engine mount.

Boy is that thing stuck. I can get the nut off the end but the bolt itself is probably rusted all to hell internally. Doesn't help that a portion of it is exposed where it goes through the engine so years of water and gunk and salt has flung up into there. I've tried using a big freakin hammer and pounded on the nut end, and then I got my 1/2 in impact driver and tried spinning the bolt head end. No go!

I've currently got it soaking in Kroil but I am fearing this will be a long uphill battle.

Has anyone else encountered this?

I imagine that is where I'm headed, though. I learned my lesson when I tried removing the stock headers and ended up having to buy a new cylinder head. I've got time to burn so I'll just keep applying penetrating oil and heat each day until it frees up.

Trying it after running the engine for awhile helped me get mine out when installing the T-rex sliders.  But, mine was really not in too bad of shape either... that front part of the engine was the dirtiest part on my bike when I bought it... but it was a garage queen, 04' with only 2.5k miles in 2012 (still is a garage queen, cept I actually ride it  )

I have not tried this, but I see many swear by a 50/50 mix of ATF (auto trans fluid) and acetone as the best for loosening stuck or rusted parts. Google acetone and atf and you will see lots of info.
