Ummm .. Not directly.... Hand tool is used on this and it's counterpart ... But it is not part of a hand tool

The other main part of the 'set' this belongs to.. Has a metal sphere in the guts of it... The sphere has small holes at 3, 6, 9 and 12 ... A specialised bolt goes between them .. The sphere draws the thread of the bolt inside itself...

The set is used on ... Large heavy things!?

Possibly an assembly piece for metal scaffolding.

Not scaffolding or tie down, though it does join 2 objects...

Think office environment .... Things that would need to be held steady and still so you don't go crazy with stuff moving on you all day

Yes for desk! ... Used to be partition ones around the shed also... But we sold all the partitions to a local youth art gallery ..they didn't want the clips so we scrapped them.. More interesting though.
