When pulling in clutch while rolling to a stop it dies. Please help!

Hello i jus got my bike back from the shop because it had cold start issues and junk. It also has an issue where when i roll to a stop i press in the clutch shift down the gears and brake and it will drop the rpms all the way down then die. It is very annoying. I already had them clean the carbs and replace the gaskets and junk. They had it for 3 weeks already and i wanted it back. They advised me about an un stable idle issue. And they wanted to try different jets. But i was sick of the wait and i wanted it back. Turns out the idle screw was not adjusted propperly so they adjusted it and it felt fine. When i road it around and it didnt turn off on me once. The mechanic said after he adjusted it that it felt fine (i felt like the shop was trying to screw me with that bit) so i took it home. While riding it was fine for a while. Then it starts doin it to me randomly them more frequent. Sometimes it wont do it at all. There is new fuel lines and they checked for any vacuum leaks and they didnt find any. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I wanna figure this out! Should i have gotten the jets? I dont feel like it woulda made a difference. And also the air filter was kinda dirty and stuff idk if air could be being constricted. Jus thought i would let u guys know. Please help!

I had the same stalling issue and it was tight exhaust valves. New valve shims and the stalling problem disappeared completely.

How do i go about doing this? My friend said it is in the motor is he correct?

If you weren't sure where the valve adjustment is, then this is probably not a job to do yourself.  It's a little above some of the more easy DIY wrenching jobs.  I'm not saying that to be harsh, just warning you that you will want someone with experience around to teach you the first time  :thumb:.

I agree that this might be a difficult job for someone inexperienced in mechanics.

I had a issue like that before, it was due to incorrect float hight. The gas would clog the jets when stopping.

Mine did that due to a clogged pilot jet back when I first started riding

The paranoia in me says you need to check whether they did what they said they did...  I'd check the carbs to see if they have even been opened recently.  The bowl screws should either look new (been replaced), or they should look like they had a hard time getting them open (shiny centers).

Haha no worries on that i went in multiple times when they were working on it and saw that they had the carbs out and all the jets and stuff. And yes the bowls screws are new. It is jus an annoying thing that ruins my ride some times. And even my idle is still kinda wacky sometimes. But i have found that it does not dies like that as much if i engine brake through the gears when i roll to a stop instead of holding the clutch in while rolling and shifting down. But it will sometimes shut off and idle is still kinda blah. =/
