f%$k. I go two weeks without looking here, and this shaZam!? I hope something happens to that lady, Patrick was too good of a guy to be taken like that.

He helped me out quite a few times back when I had my GS. He always had what you needed, always wanted to offer help, and then he would always carry on the conversation after the work was done. Genuine good guy

I loved the guy, he was far above and beyond one in a million. people like this just don't exist anymore. now theres one less. Now, the lady....Ive forgiven her... that's how Patrick would have wanted. BUt I AM BEYOND ANGRY.  if it were ruled as preventable, then by GOD  I do hope she gets whats coming.  btw firswt brace arrived today.  going to start soon.

Sorry I haven't piped up in a while but I literately start crying every time I look at this and see his picture everywhere. I've had the tab open in my browser and can't bring myself to look at it. Any confirmation on the day for the memorial ride/bbq? Here's a story. Hard to write.

I stayed at a friends place last night and was getting set to ride home this morning. As I checked over my bike looking at everything, I locked in on something I'd completely forgotten about. A couple months back Patrick got into this Guardian Bell thing. He told me how the ringing of the bell 'keeps away the gremlins that cause mechanical issues on your bike'. The gremlins know if you put it on there though, so it has to be a gift from someone else and someone else has to put it on your bike. If you want to move it to another bike someone has to do it for you. So we kind of chuckled at the absurdity a bit and I figured well, I could use whatever help I can get and it can't hurt. Plus it's a good conversation starter.

The funny thing about the bell is you never really notice it because the exhaust covers the noise unless you do something stupid like kill the bike trying to pull away cold or something and then it gives you a little ring, like 'hey you're a dum*a**'. And now I hear Patrick's voice when it rings too. 'Don't you know you have to let the bike warm up?' 'Why'd you kill it, did you remember to put powdered milk in your handlebars?'.  If I ever sell that DR I'll need someone to move it over for me. I think he said he picked up the whole thing from Ollie?

When in doubt, empty the magazine.

I have been away from the site for a while and am absolutely floored by this news. I can only reiterate what others have said in that he was always there with knowledgeable  and helpful advice. RIP Patrick and condolences to  your family and all who were fortunate enough to have you as a friend.

Damn man... That sounds like so much fun! I have a memorial day bbq so far east though. That would be such a blast...

Any chance on the ride, to get a group to visit the cave, then go to end of alleyway,  and have one final rip down the gravel for the Nazi there?
