its a michelin a59  110/80/zr17 will it hold well? tred pattern seems more like a cruiser style.

No, it's going to be more like a sports/touring tire from the look of it.  Not certain, though.  If it's anything like the Michelin Macadam radials it's sticky enough for the GS500 and gives good mileage too.
