During my Rejet I've accidentally (Well, My Father, That's a different story...) broke 2 of the plastic fingers on the Diaphram Piston (http://www.cmsnl.com/suzuki-gs500-e-1989-1996-usa_model16024/valve-piston_1350101d00/) that holds the Needle in place so now the Needle has nothing to be held in with.

I've ordered the part through my local suzuki dealer but it has an ETA of 1 month. 

Could I Potentially use epoxy to hold the needle in place temporarily until I get that new part in?

Also, I Can confirm this does work. With a little bit of JB Weld holding the Needle in, provided you can match the weights of both Piston's I Havn't noticed any performance degradation to this temporary fix, although I would not want to rely on it as a permanent solution.

Moved, and those slides are $$$. And they break if you drop em.

Are the slides the same from '89-'00 to the ones '01+?  If so, I think I have some extra one I can sell you.

EDIT: Nevermind, I see you are down under.  I think shipping would kill the deal.

89-00 is different from 01+. Almost nothing in the carb is the same.
