Probably for that high up ass look and the GSXR tailpiece to fit. can't think of many other reasons to do so. isn't the GSXR tailpiece made of alloy though? so welding it to the GS frame won't be an option.

dowdy80

i wouldnt be welding it, id have to bolt it on, i just fancy having her look abit more agressive and sporty in all honesty, dont get me wrong shes a gorgeous machine as is, i have a spare black 96 Gs frame that ill be doing the swap on, so if i decide i dont like it ill just scrap the idea.

Most sport bike tails while they can be made to fit and fit quite well on a GS - they look like garbage when you view it from behind or from above - or even from the front. The tail is wider than the tank ... and it looks stupid, if you ask me.

Most tail swap pics are from the side, and then it looks gorgeous. Of course a girl with oversized silicone titties looks great with clothes on. Naked she looks like a freak.

Cool.

yeah i get what you mean, but like i said, i wouldnt actually be touching the bike as she is, itll all be done on a seperate frame and subframe, if i enjoy the look then ill swap the engine and electrics over, if not, then i can just sell it :), its worth a try atleast, just as a little side project?

Whichever doesn't scratch easy!  Seen alot of threads where guy gets frame painted nice and then blargs it all up on build.
