i don't know what else to call it...

the problem with my bike is that the wheel will steer at full lock more to the right than to the left...and the front wheel lock doesn't work...

everything looks straight and i measured the fork brace to references point and seems that it's not twisted either...

any idea how to fix this problem??

Thanks... :thumb:

The difference in steering angle isn't a problem in itself, as you never get there in normal use anway. However, the non-locking indicates that something gets in the way and limits the travel of the steering head against its left stop. Check this stop (on the frame, either between the triples or below the lower, can't remember).

i know what stops you're talking about...and they are not broken or bent in any way...they work pefectly...

as for the steering lock...i think the lock mechanism is bent itself...so i'll bend it back to see if it'll work...

i can't really remember how far the wheel turned before i notice the problem...anyone knows?...and will it pose a danger in riding?

i have the same problem after a low speed crash.  a lady cliped my right bar in a parcking lot and i went down and bent the right bar.  now when i turn the new bars to the left, they hit the tank.  turning them all the way to the right and the neck stop catches like it's supposed to.  i looked to see if the stops welded to the neck were bent but they weren't.  i'll look in my hayes manual for the lock mechanism too.  i hope to sort this out before i finish sanding and painting my new (used) tank.
