jetting carbs question

Ive done some searching and havent found any results to my question so thats why im posting this, has anyone had any experince jetting with no exhaust just strait pipe and a lunchbox filter? Even if it was a bad experience any advice would be great thanks

Anyone I have seen with this setup has not had a great experience, to say in the least... it is difficult to jet for.   Also, you actually get less power from a straight pipe.

You get get less back pressure with a straight pipe, unless you do something something like a chambered exhaust like they did on older muscle cars. It also sounds horrible, IMO.

Yeah thats what i was afraid of, and the sound gets really old really fast ive been lookin around for an exhaust and figured id go dan moto slip on and just fabriacte some pipe to attach it

If anyones is curious i made a baffle in the pipe today and it seems to have woke the bike up so to speak has alot more power and doesnt pop as bad on decel

That's good.  Have you considered rejetting? Getting the right mixture will give it a more steady climb all the way through the throttle range, will clear up the popping, and your bike will run cooler.
