I'm considering depriving myself of riding enjoyment for a few days and replacing the fuel lines on my perfectly fine GS  

Here's what I plan to do:

1. Be the guinea pig for the battery charger rust removal method, as discussed in this post Rusty tank
2. Clean out the in-tank fuel strainer
3. Clean carbs
4. Replace fuel lines and install fuel filter.
5. Synch carbs

A couple of questions...
- I've got both a 10A charger and a little motorcycle battery charger, I'm thinking the lower current one would do a better job, but take longer.  What would you do?
- Are there any good grounding points on the tank?
- I'm replacing the fuel lines with 5/16" line from Helix Racing.  I know the stock tubing is 7mm, which is between 1/4 and 5/16.  Has anyone used this tubing before, and any special considerations?  Will these hoses be too big, especially around the twin outlet tubes?

I hope I can find space to stick the fuel filter... I got a Visu-Filter that's 1-1/4 inches long and 1-1/2 inches in diameter.  Kinda big.  hmmm... I could try something else if someone could give me an example I could pick up at a hardware/auto store.  

I'm doing this because I think rust from my tank is getting into my carbs and causing some clogging issues.  My fuel lines are fine, but I figure if I'm going to put the filter in, might as well do it right.  Going with the 5/16 to insure proper fuel flow.
