I specifically recall the Acura NSX in that movie having a license plate reading "The Wolf" or "Wolfee" or something like that. However, every single picture I can find of the plate has randomized numbers and letters like this:

I even pulled it up on Netflix and skipped ahead to that scene to double check. Sure enough, 3ABM581.

What the hell is going on here? I'm not the only one, two other people I talked to recall the exact same thing. I even double-checked at the end where he's leaving - that plate has the same thing as well!!

Dude, I saw that movie so long ago... It's possible it was changed through Netflix, though. I know they changed the theme song on all episodes of Dirty Jobs to the new one after that copyright issue or whatever it was. Netflix does that a lot.

If anyone has an original copy, I'm sure they could check it out.

On another note, this thread is extremely random lol.
Blue 2004F with some fun stuff
Lunchbox, 22.5/65/147.5, Jardine, 17/39, R6 throttle, R6 shock, .85 springs, GSXR1100 rearsets, Clubmans+Rox 2" risers, T-Rex sliders, flush mount fronts, integrated LED tail, integrated LED fronts, HID Projector, blue gauge LEDs, 12V outlet

And 96.5% more wub wub

Haha! Yeah I know, I've seen that before on Netflix. However, what's curious is I cannot, for the life of me, find a picture of the ORIGINAL license plate. It's baffling me.

I just wanted to make sure I was not insane. Though, I guess that's still up for debate.

I've witnessed this very debate among my family members  :icon_rolleyes:

The conclusion was that there was some version that displayed 'Mr Wolf' or 'Mr Wolfe' as the license plate; however, every 'copy' shows the fake plastic California plate '3ABM581' - no explanation as to why, and can't find anything on the web to back it up.  It's strange.  So, you aren't alone in having seen this if that makes you feel any better...  :dunno_black:

The Buddha

I thought I'd never like any QT movie ... and I didn't ... till I saw Inglorious Basterds. Phenomenal.
Cool.

Watcher

I saw it on Amazon Prime a while back and swear it was a vanity plate.

I don't personally have AP, though, otherwise I'd look.

Seems like every digital version available has this "numbers/letters plate" on his Accura.
I have a VHS tape (bought in The States back when the movie was released) somewhere in my basement, so I'll check it out.

;D

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes.
A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production.
Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Uhhh...

I had to bust some ancient player open, force the tape inside, hold it with my hand to make it play, find the scene in the movie, and....

No Mr.Wolf plate either!
Damn!

Nah, it was no trouble, since I was wondering too, but now I'm puzzled, cuz I was pretty sure about the Wolf plate myself.

Hm... must be some conspiracy plot.

Well... there is still hope, I guess...
The tape I have was actually purchased in UK, not in The States, so... keep searching!!!

Hey, when you're planting this year, and you're planting bulbs, make sure the hole you dig is larget than what you're planting, else you'd cause some "Bulb Friction".
Cool.
