Finally changed over bikes

Well, after much adieu, I finally got another bike.  Picked up a 2008 Yamaha FZ6.   Its a great bike, and soon to be all done up with new paint, small parts, etc.  I have a buddy who is a professional painter, (also the guy who sold me the bike) who is going to paint it whatever color I want.  My GS was a great bike for me, and taught me all the things I needed to move up to a slightly larger, but WAY more powerful bike.  I was shocked how much different the power delivery was for an inline 4 vs the parallel twin.  It is nice and smooth although a little buzzy around 6k or so, and just opens up around 9-10k and revs to 14k without a hitch.  It was a one owner bike that was stolen, and recovered after having parts spray painted which is how I got it for the price I did.  All cosmetic damage, and it does 100mph comfortably in 3rd gear  :woohoo:

Can't wait to post up some pics here asap!!!

Ugly in its current form, but one pic just for you!

Thanks!!  Certainly not ugly  ;)  I love the rims!  Are you going to keep them that color?  Do you have any colors in mind that you are leaning towards for the actual bike?  That exhaust looks really neat too... I like the undertail design.  Can't wait to see what ya do to it!  :icon_mrgreen:

I have a new fairing coming for it as we speak, and will be getting new plastics inside and out.  I'm working on getting the paint done asap, but am leaning toward either a nice satin black with matte clear, or a matte white, with black frame, and gold wheels which sounds sort of strange, but think something like this:

The more I see "Stomrtrooper white" schemes on motorcycles the more it grows on me.

Me too!  I'm actually not going full blown stormtrooper white though.  I'm getting a House of Kolor Pearl White in a satin/matte finish.

HoK makes amazing stuff, that's all I use.  Good choice!
