Who here knows which wire need to be connected to by-pass the ignition switch on a 94. The only key I have is broken. I can have another key made later but it is a bike the I am parting out and want to check a few things first.

its so super simple, one wire, from positive side of batt to........ yeah like im gonna tip my hand :lol:  though it does work for most bikes reguardless of make.   info was passed to me by a former bike thief,claimed he could steel any bike if the the handlebars wernt locked.

OK, now I'm curious. Does this method bypass all the sensors like the kill switch, the cluch sensor, and the kick stand sensor??? :dunno:
Please tell me cuse I'm thimking of putting in a hiden switch into the bike and I need to know where the circuit is getting interupted!

i'd imagine not.  it just completes the power loop like turning the key does.  all other rule and regulations apply.

I have a busted (theft) ignition switch I use when I get a GS with no keys...

Screwdriver starts  it.....

If you have a dremel and an old windshield wiper insert from your car I can tell you how to make a lock pic and pick it......

What... Its no damn secret, I'll show you with pictures... I had my vulcan for over a year this way... had it locked and the electricals were separate... Oh BTW a Kawi is much cooler... If you dont hit start the lights dont come on... so people can fiddle with it too... have a hidden switch that has to be on to start... and no lights to come on and kill your battery.

ok i cannot get my key to turn to the lock position. ..... what might i be doing wrong???

put it this way, one wire, once connected will power the bike just like if the key was used. lights,gauges,starter, everything.

im just asking how to get my steering lock to work, i have never used it before.  i suppose i will start a new thread.

Thanks for the info. I was being lazy and did not want to spend the time reading the manual. There have been other priorities recently.

turn wheel to the left all the way, insert key and turn to left, there are 2 spots, one marked L or lock, and one marked P alitle more to left, P will turn on tail light so it can be seen at night on side of road while locked, lock position will just lock the steering.

it takes 2 connections to get the ignition and all the lights to work
one works the starter and the headlight and the other connection works tha tail light blinkers and guage and warning lights
