Still no luck... I'm starting to think that Megatron has been involved in those bolts' tightening... Imma cut the old bar and hammer the thing out...

When things just won't go as they have to... I got it out but the damned bolts still wouldn't budge... I ended up ordering a used cylinder. Anyways, my current one may have been the cause of my brake problem so... it had to be changed...

why... why didn't you just grind the bolt heads off?!  :icon_eek:

Well, my old bar  is bent as hell on the right side... it is 3 cm closer to me than the left end... that's why I got a new bar... and the cylinder had to be change anyway... but I may still just grind the bolts' heads. Won't it be the same though? I have a feeling that they get screwed in both parts, not only the cylinder one but also the front bracket? Don't know... Too much alcohol anyways.... will check tomorrow, maybe... might grind them...

I'm now waiting for my shorty levers and new grips to arrive.

New grips arrived and I already put them :)

I'm waiting for my new levers to arrive now and tomorrow I'm buying new chain, sprockets and front brake pads. :)

P.S.: I'll also repaint my tank's blue stripes in red.

Chain, sprockets and brake pads bought today. Yay! :D I also changed and balanced my front tyre.

I had some real trouble with the rear caliper... One of the pistons just didn't want to go back... I ended up draining the whole system out of fluid but still no luck... Wd-40 and 2 pipe wrenches did the job tho. :) :D

Now I have to go to a motorcycle mechanic to put my chain and sprockets because I'm kind of afraid with that thumb... Haahha :D

where did you get the chain and sprocket from? how much? My front sprocket has shark finned, and my chain is missing some o-rings. needless to say, I rather just replace them all and not worry about it for awhile. other then oiling. [common, at this point my gs, is a NEW GS. lol]

I got my chain and sprockets from a local motorcycle shop. They cost about 270BGN which is ~164USD. You definitely have to replace them :D My chain is loose as hell.. stretched as much as it can be before shattering... my rear sprocket is fine but the front one isn't, I'll change them all just to be on the safe side. :)

yeah, and I've been looking at bush guards for the handlebars, but I want to run bar-end mirrors. dunno what I'm going to do yet, but I gotta stay focused on making the engine run.

Bit by bit it will all come to it's place. :) What I know from my father is that if you make something perfect, flawless from the first time it will most probably crash! :D :D
