2001 Carbs - Measuring and Adjusting Float Height?

Hey all, I've tried searching here and the interwebs at large but I cannot find anywhere a definitive source of what the float height should be on 2001 model carbs and how it should be measured.

I don't have a manual because I only have the carbs... these are on my '82 450 and I can't find a free manual to download anywhere. I don't really want to buy a whole manual when all I need is the float height adjustment specification and adjustment procedure.

I just need to know where to measure and what the measurement should be... I saw mention of 13mm in another thread but no idea where to measure...

The carbs are good and I have spent hours giving them a thorough once over but it seems that the right carb has less fuel in the float bowl than the left carb so I'd like to check the float height as it's the only thing I haven't been able to do yet.

Looks like Google to the rescue, 13mm for 01 carbs onwards:

I have saved and attached the pic in the URL for reference in case it disappears.

I should be able to check these now  :thumb:
