the Parts'n'More rebuild kit has both the needle and valve, like you mentioned:
https://www.partsnmoreonline.com/PNMSite/Carb%20Rebuild%20Kit%20Suzuki%2048-1947%20GS500%20GSX1100.htm

...but at $12, I doubt that you're going to find the needle by itself much cheaper.

Also, I'd probably replace both needles, and not just one.  You never know if the spring inside the tip of the new one might have a bit more bounce than the remaining old needle, and you may get slightly different behavior between the two cylinders.
You cannot escape our master plan!

Were you looking at the Ron Ayers price for the float valve assembly?

I'm with Rema - spend $4 dollars less and get 2 full rebuild kits!

The $30 minimum order may seem bad, but think about it this way.  Instead of you paying THEM $6 for shipping they paid YOU a pair of bar ends and shipped for FREE!

If you search in the Suzuki GS section at PartsnMore, they do sell the jsut the float valve and needle seperately

I ordered the 2 carb kits myself, if I didnt go up to $30 bux the shipping was 8.50.  So I also grabbed the oil filter   $2 bux, and a cargo helmet net for $4 bux.

Not to shabby,

My local dealer wanted $27 each for the carb kits, I got 2 of them for the price of one

Anyone know of any other places to by the rebuild kits.  "Someone" bought them all, so they are backordered.

There are actually 4 O-rings, for:
    1) The diaphragm cover (the smallest O-ring)
    2) "Seating" the actual float assembly
    3) The float valve seat (shown already mounted on the brass part in the kit), and
    4) The air/fuel mixture screw?[/list:u]See items 14, 17, 22 and 34 in
this diagram.

Don't be fooled - two separate items are labeled with a "14".  You want the one closer to the carb body.

I used oldbikebarn.com and their prices were outrageous.  $19 for each of the GS500 Carb kits and shipping was $12!  YIKES.   :bs:

What is worse is that I purchased the parts Wednesday night and when I called them on Saturday, I asked "Hello, I was just curious to find out what shipping method was used on my order."  He looked it up and then said "It was sent UPS.  I am not sure why you are calling.  It is a little premature to be checking in on your parts when you just ordered them Wednesday night."  I stopped him and asked "Where the heck did that come from?  All I asked you was what method it was shipped and now you are acting all pissy.  When a customer spends $12 on shipping I think you can provide a freaking Tracking Number.   :nana:

I will never use them again.   :x

Are the stock float needle holder thingies ( technical term, right? ) supposed to be brass/copper colored like that? Mine are silver
