Hello friends!

So today was a nice day here in the netherlands to take my GS500 for a spin :) While the trip was very nice, we traveled the highway for a bit, and i found myself in a bit of a pickle. When i go over 140 KPh the wind is very annoying. So, My next idea for a project is making fairings fit on my 1993/1999/2003 hyrbid GS500.
My frame is 1993, the engine and front fork is 1999, and the tank, seat and plastics are 2003.

Has anyone on this forum make front fairings from a later model fit on their older bike?

Also, the engine was revving high, making the bike tremble a lot. Can i simply exchange the front sprocket to make it a bit easier to handle on the highway?

you can change the front sprocket up 2 teeth for some touring gearing, but you will lose acceleration.

as for fairings the easiest bolt on is a headlight windscreen for touring like this

as seen here

Thanks for your reply! About the gearing is very helpfull.

But for the fairing i would like to make the complete fairing work, like this:

I know its probably going to need some custom brackets for it. the seat and rear plastics of the 2003 on my bike needed so aswell, i would like to know how many though.
