A dealership by me is selling a 2000 Bandit 600s with hard saddlebags for $3000.  Looks mint, 22k miles, its in my price range, and although I'd likely take the bags off for getting around town I'd like to have them for a future roadtrip.

Only thing is its faired and I really am not a fan of the faired Bandits.
Does anyone know if theres an easy conversion to a naked?

Umm. .. Allen keys and wrench maybe? ... some of those bug eye headlights.... done!

Janx said it right.. Luckily the gauges are mounted similar to the GS (to the triple) so you don't even have to fabricate a gauge mount! just rip the fairings off and throw on a dirt bike headlight. most come with heavy duty "rubber band" mounts, no drilling required 

I have a polisport MMX headlight on my buell xb12r (good riddance to that huge bikini thing) and it looks great!
