So I tried to tighten the nut that holds the tach cable to the engine. annnnnnnd it broke. Does anyone know what it is called/part number? I tried to find it on a parts break down but I can't. I'm thinking it might be part of the cable if ordered. Anyone have experience?

There are schematics on bikebandit.com you can have a look at. They also have decent prices. I'd check there out.

bike bandit is my go to but I can't tell if the nut is included when buying the cable or if its broken down some other section, that I don't know to look under.
