Can't honestly say I like it but it is certainly distinctive.  And I amire the talent necessary to achieve it.

Looks good, would look even better if you got rid of that rear fender :guns:

Excellent work, think you should do something with those black wheels now!

Starting at the hubs, how about a fade from light to dark green?  Seriously!

Airbrush, impressive web site. Boy, somebody knows how to use flash.

thx for the responses,
Yup i plan on chopping down that rear fender up to the plate. I dont mind the look of the black rims actually, gives it more of an understated aggresssive look. Of course thats all subject to personal opinion.
Cheers,

:o ooooo thats pretty.  I wish I had those kind of skills; or any artistic ability at all.  Anyway, its good to see the first(?) customized GSF.  I completely agree with you, the wheels and frame need to stay black.  It just wouldn't look right otherwise.

Now is that the new Aluzio fairing from Brazil? If not, what fairing is that?

The Buddha

Its an F, but I think the aluzio one looks better, If I was dropping 5K+ on a GS and it had to have a fairing it will be a 01+ with aluzio's on it. I like that a lot.
Cool.

Nice :thumb:  What kind of paint do you use and how did you do the clear coat. Any masking tips.

looks good, i second painting the wheels, but it's up to you, but i love the top fairing, right around the headlight, good job

pantablo

nice showcase for your talents.

Take the fender farther up than just the bottom of the plate, like this: http://pantablo500.tripod.com/pablosgs500page/id48.html

Now you just need a colored screen to complete the "look"; smoke, yellow?

The paint i used is a waterbased automotive product, a little trickier to use than conventional urethanes as drying times are alot slower. The base is a course metaliic silver with transparent candy orange over top, really shifts in the light. As far as masking goes, time time and more time...., used a combination of hand cut and computer cut stencils for the silver border edging the graphics. All finished off with a urethane clear coat. Eventually will probably tint the front screen smoke. Have also removed that rear fender up to the plate bracket.
