Hi Guys, so five years ago I put a 1996 Engine in a 2001 GS500E, handlebar switches on both sides were the same. Last year I planted a complete 2006 Engine / Harness into a 93 Frame and had used a 2009 handlebar switch.

Now I'm working on the latest project, a 2009 engine (just engine, not the complete harness) into a 2004 F Model. I bought a 2006, 2009 and 2004 left hand control switch. The 2006/2009 were spares, neither fits on the 2004 F Harness. The 2004 however has the right connectors, but the wire colors are all over the place between the harness and the switch.

Are there two different left hand switches for the 2004/2005 GS 500 F?

On ebay everyone advertises these switches to fit 2004-2009, 2004/2005 most definitely is different than the 2006 and up though.

I'm kinda lost on that one...
