Hello Everyone,

I just posted my new "build" but I wanted to get feedback on Delkevic?
http://www.delkevic.us/index.php?route=product/product&path=9181_10095_10208_10213&product_id=5843

It looks promising, I like the sound, looks, etc...  Anyone have any feedback?

Thanks!

I like mine. It is the carbon ds70. I like the sound. Quality seems to be good since I've had for almost 2 years. The only weird thing is the band that support the  exhaust needs to be played with a bit to get it right.

I love the way their slip ons sound, I imagine a full system from them is very nice. Something I'd also like to pick up in the future. I have a related question after checking out the link for some of the more experienced here (looking at you Buddha)...

This is a direct quote from the product info:
QuoteNo rejetting or remapping is required after fitment however we always recommend a dyno test after fitting replacement parts to your motorcycle.

Is that bullshit? Certainly you need to rejet... Right?

I have one on mine, a shorty slip on with removable baffle.
It does sound better than stock silencer but it is loud and one highway trips i'd advise ear plugs.
Mine has very slight leak around the one of the rivets but hardly noticable.
I jetted my bike aswell and there is a notable power increase.
But for the price can't complain.

What I find strange, is that on their eBay page, you can get a full system from delkevic but on their actual website, you can only get the slip on.

Hard to tell from the picture, buy those headers look a bit smaller OD than the Jardine kits that sell for about the same price.

I should note that while they advertise as aluminum, my kit purchased about 4 years ago is coated steel. Either that or some sort of exotic, magnetized aluminum.
May have changed since then though...

Krsa2000 - I guess it's been a while since I've been on their site! It is in a new format too so the whole site must have been updated. Sorry for the misinformation!

Thanks for the feedback!  I think I want to give them a try.  I heard positive things from the tech at the shop who actually sounded excited about making this work.  :cookoo:  Some of my GS500 love might be rubbing off on them.  The SV forum seems positive too.  Added benefit is I get to start the spare parts pile for the inevitable tank/tire inversion.  Got the bike for a good price, plus everything that is wrong with are things I wanted to change.

I do expect it to be louder (my two other GS500s are stock quiet... time to change it up a little).  My helmet is making me deaf anyway, so what's a few more dB.   :icon_lol:

Will post impression/pics when it is done.

You won't scratch the slip-on if you drop the bike, these pipes sit higher.

I may have found this out myself. Left a little mark on one of the pop rivets.
