Front brake leaking fluid

Hi everyone. I have a 1989 GS500E that I've only been riding for a week. I'm completely new to motorcycles and mechanics in general so sorry for the beginner question Today I was practicing hard braking in a parking lot and the front brake started leaking fluid out of the...thing circled in this picture: http://i.imgur.com/HFwP4y8.jpg

I rode it straight home and tried to stay on the back brake as much as possible. I left my leather gloves on and gave the brakes and tire a quick wipe down with water. Now I have marks all around my tire: http://i.imgur.com/Z39xwmC.jpg http://i.imgur.com/SzisQOi.jpg

Could anyone explain what could be causing this and what I could do to fix it? Also, is my front tire still safe to use? I know that brake fluid is pretty toxic stuff and eats through rubber.

It's coming from the bleeder screw...tighten up(don't over tighten)
Wipe down the area and the tire THOROUGHLY...i see NO problem with the rubber.

First thing,  if that was leaking, you have also most likely sucked air into the system. You must bleed the brake.
Brake fluid eats through paint but in fact preserves rubber.

You think Pyrrhic victory is bad you should try Pyrrhic defeat!

I somewhat agree with bmf, there are many rubber brake lines in use, not to mention cylinder seals, so the fluid certainly doesnt destroy that particular type of rubber. But there are many types of rubber, and I dont know if tires and brake lines are the same type. Bleed the brakes, using approved fluid. I would ride it, but watch it close for deterioration.
