Hello everyone. Few months back I bought an 89 GS500 as a non-running project. It has carburetor issues, and could probably be fixed without too much hassle by someone with more time than me. I don't have the time I thought I would, as I recently became a home owner as well, and there are more than enough projects around for me. I have got the bike to run for a few seconds on quick start. It is very low mileage, just under 5,000. Tank is in good shape, with very mild surface rust (I cleaned it once already). All plastic is intact and uncracked. It is probably missing a few bolts here and there, but nothing critical to operating the bike. It does need fork seals and new fuel lines, I have somewhere between 6ft and 10 ft of new fuel line the buyer can have. Tires are practically brand new, and I believe they're Avons. Also has a brand new air filter. Bike is black with white and red stripes.

I will sell the whole thing now, for 500.00.  I realize that might be slightly high for a non-running GS, but it's what I have into it, and it does have the desirable  (in my opinion) clip on style bars. If I don't have it sold by 07/20 (or miraculously get it running by then) I will start parting it. I'm going to switch to something fuel injected in the fall, after having a BMW and a Ducati, I got to used to no hassle starts.  Please PM with your email address for pictures. I'm impatient, and have decided I'd rather have it gone than stare at it in my garage. 500.00 USD and it goes with a clean title. It's worth more than that in pieces, but to be honest, I don't want to deal with parting it out.
