Hy, my name is Alex and I wanted to sell my Zuki ....  :icon_sad:

A couple of weeks ago I was thinking about selling my Zuki and buy a new one, I was under the false impression that it does not have enough power, that I can't put enough weight on it, and that I need ABS on the bike, so I started looking at v-stroms with abs in my area, or bmw f650 gs.

All of this ended when i got out with zuki, 20 kilos of baggage, me, and my girlfriend for a two days trip, and 600 km. Zuki had no problems reaching 150 km/h on the highway (maxim legal speed is 130), leaning into curbs on some great mountain roads, or even climbing a small hill full of grass.

I was trully impressed by my Zuki and decided that it's not the time for a new bike, instead i want her to get some upgrades during this fall/winter, I was thinking a katana 600 monoshock swap and new springs in the front, I also want to lower my pegs and change my seat with one that is higher. I am, afterall, 187cm tall.

You can find an album of that trip here http://s4ch4.imgur.com/

Slack

I feel that a lot of people move on to something faster well before they are ready for it.

I really like this pic:

Be aware, this is not very wise advise!

Yeah, I like that photo too, at the left we have the MT Revenge, and at the right the ICON Alliance Dark (my helmet), and in the background is the Saint Ana lake.

You are right Slack, to many people move to something more powerfull too fast and unfortunately they are not ready for it.

Awesome story and I totally agree with you both. Kinda touches on what I was getting at in The Buddha's thread about things being so disposable nowadays... sometimes people seem to want something and then two seconds later are done with it/bored with it before they even give it a chance.

Oh and I too love that pic  :D

I totaly get what you are saying about things being so disposable, they make things with a shorter life these days so you could buy more, and more, and more.
