Hey everyone!

I have been building some hard cases for my 09 GS500f and have ran into a slight snag, the muffler is too large.

Does anyone have a cheap replacement slip on muffler that is much smaller than the stock one?

If no one has a spare shirty muffler around and you don't have funds for a new slip on.... why not take the bike and cases down to your local exhaust shop? .. show them the clearance issue and see if they can put a downwards  bend in the pipe just forward of the muffler!?

Then make up a mount extender to reach the stock mount point OR put a tab on the bottom of the case if the boxes will remain always on bike.

Yes sure the pipe will look low if the cases are off the bike but could still look ok and a little unique?! ...

The price to pay for maxi size cases I guess?
