Be aware, this is not very wise advise!

axexandru

No, not HP. I hope that we are not just guessing laptop brands now, no??

Is it a power connector for a Lenovo X1 laptop?

Ah, very cool. I never would have guessed it.
Good job Malfruen, take it away!

He must be out in the barn looking for some esoteric "olden days" item. ... come on bush boy! ! ;-p lol :thumb:

Malfruen

Haha Janx, you wish. No esoterica here. Just got back from Sydney actually, gotta love those immobile specialists. I'll have something uploaded shortly, bear with me.

Malfruen

This one should be pretty simple. It's all I could get a hold of in a hurry.

Janx101

O_o ... simple he says! ... looks blacksmithy. ... but for what I don't know?!

Elmojo

It's a tool rest for a wood lathe.
In fact, I'd guess for a Chinese import lathe. It looks just like mine. :)

Malfruen

Elmojo has it. It is a tool rest for a Wood Lathe. It's going to be my new toy when it's all cleaned up. Not too sure where the lathe is actually from yet, we got it out of storage this week. It's ancient, I know that much, but thats about it.

Elmojo

Post a photo of the rest of the lathe when you can, I'll help ID it and see if there are parts and such available.
Ok, what to post.... gimme a sec.

ShowBizWolf

I would love to see pics of the lathe too... I was the only one in high school that wanted to learn how to turn in shop. The lathes had plastic covers on them with about a half inch of dust... I pretty much begged my teacher to uncover them and teach me.

He did and it was awesome  :icon_mrgreen:
Superbike bars, '04 GSXR headlight & cowl, DRZ signals, 1/2" fork brace, 'Busa fender, stainless exhaust & brake lines, belly pan, LED dash & brake bulbs, 140/80 rear hoop, F tail lens, SV650 shock, Bandit400 hugger, aluminum heel guards & pegs, fork preload adjusters, .75 SonicSprings, heated grips

Elmojo

I really wish I had taken shop classes in High School.
I'm making up for it now, but I'm sure it would have been fun.

Ok, give this a look-see...

Big Rich

I wish I would've taken more shop classes in HS. I took it for one year and made a CO2 powered car, along with some other rockets. No lathes, mills, welding, etc....  how ironic.

Anyway, I'm guessing some kind of tool..... maybe a pipe cutter?
