I have a 1991 GS500 and need a gas tank for it.  I'm looking local and on eBay, but can't find anything to fit my year.  Everything on eBay is 2004 and newer.  There is an older one from an 89, but it's totally trashed.

Anybody got one laying around that will fit my 91?  Outside doesn't matter to me... just need the inside to be clean.

the newer tanks will bolt right onto your older bike

The seat will just look a little funny pushed against the tank.

Also the newer tanks are bigger so more miles out of the tank! 

1995 GS500E tank. This tank has served me well ~100k miles between two GS500s. The bike is now a parts bike due to rear cam chain guide breaking. I replaced bike with a 2002.

I always manage to find good condition purple bikes and end up swapping colors
