I just bought a 2007, owner put 6800 miles on it, stored it in a garage, but didn't maintain. It has to be choked after start, but only after if it's sat more than 3 hours without running. Even occurs in 80F weather. Not a huge deal because it runs great once it warms up, but I suspect it's the symptom of a larger problem. I'm thinking the valves need be adjusted and/or carbs synchronized. Any thoughts here?

2007F with 22k NY/NJ miles. Stock exhaust/airbox. Rejet to 20/60/132/one o-ring/1.25 turns out, +2 mojo

That sound normal to me, just like mine has always been since new.  :thumb:

It doesn't hurt to check the valves, but that seems to be exactly how I use my bike. I always use the choke to start.

Sounds normal to me as well... congrats on the bike and welcome to the forum!
