I replaced all my hoses recently, (vacuum and fuel) and everything runs fine for about a month.

When the engine gets hot, and I leave it to idle, it will slowly sputter out, unless I give the throttle a bit a twist. If I start it and don't ride on it, it will idle quite happily for a long period of time (over 10- 15 minutes) at about 1RPM - 1.5RPM (never lower).

I checked my spark plugs and they don't appear to run rich, nor is there a petrol smell from the exhaust. (Are these the be all and end all signs of running rich?)

I checked for any kinks in the vacuum hoses but there doesn't seem to be any that are directly impinged.

The only other thing I can think of is thheat I didn't use the OEM plastic molded ones with t bend in them, (so the hose at the petcock the tank is slightly bent, but not entirely closed off from what I can see.

I just used standard hoses (I got the closest size to the original).

Is there anything I else I should check before taking it into a mechanic?

So it will idle except if you ride it.
If it is idling - when - during a ride it will stall

OK that sounds like a dragging clutch to me.

Else explain what it is doing better.

Maybe the dog ate the fuel line NO OK.

Say if I get to 70km/hr and then cruise for a bit, it will start to sputter like its out of fuel. Unless I give it a bit of throttle.

Same thing at say traffic lights (so idling after riding).

If I start it cold, and leave it, it will idle fine.
