Be aware, this is not very wise advise!

Road rash at 20mph sucks!  I can't tell you how many pairs of pants I've shredded, or how much flesh I have donated falling off long boards.
I got my first set of leathers for skateboarding not motorcycling!!

just do what doc says to a T ;) ( ask me how i know. or why :(    ) lol well have to open up a chapeter of the broken bones club lol. least it wasnt a tib/fib fracture youd NOT be walking. i ambulate (walk) to use restroom or make dinner. thats it. if doc clears you for that even tho you feel you can do more.....DONT.

this is my distal tibula 4 weeks post ORIF surgery. no union taking place. doc said i dont see it happening either. im thinking DUUUUUDE STFU and  just tell me to visit again in 3 weeks.  you see the jagged line  shouldnt be there. only thing holding it together is that titanium plate.  reason i say this is if doc tells you to keep weight off of it, DO what he says ;) for how long he says etc. (or she) surgery sucks lol. if you can get away without it. awesome :). but TAKE it EASY

finally got to see yours. up near the top there.  yeah if you can get this taken care of sans surgery... awesome :) yours seemed to happen as a result of the impact directly. mine began as a simple fracture from rolling ankle. ( it snapped away from eachother. ) then a week later it went to hell lol. wishing you the best :)

He said to come back in a week. Luckily there wasn't any ligament or tendon damage so hopefully I'm back on my feet soon. I forgot how hard it is using crutches.
He will xray it and proceed further. get used to many xrays lol. they wait a week ( same as mine) for the inflammation to die down. and figure best way to treat. 4 weeks Post op Im still NWB yours should be far shorter. youre younger. ( ill be 41 in january) btw DO your best to  not bear weight on it if at all possible. specially if doc imposes a NWB restriction. if not still take it easy Eh? Now a humorous question. what foot do you use to stomp on bugs? if its your right one, LEARN to use your left. i cant hardly feel my feet ( diabetes comp. and nerve damage from incidences) and i stomped a spider. with my right foot. i didnt have aircast on. found out real quick not to do this lol. youll have a bit of time for trivial things like this lol.

I took off from school for the week just because my university is an hour away driving. And I can't get down there with my bike. Well, I could, but I don't want to spend 3 hours on public transport.

my tib on left ( broke 19 aug.) is acting up. theres no NWB restriction in place. i placed one. until i see ortho on 15th. have to see if ive damaged it. a week off is a good idea. gives you a chance to relax to begin healing and to find out what you can or cannot do. since i moved aircast to right ( non union distal fib.) splinted up left. orthos colleague calling in am.  you OTOH your fracture is displaced ( BUT should be an easy fix) if your if youre not seeing an ortho, get referred to one. this is their business :) you might be in a kneecast   for a while to heal. will tell you a bit of advice. if your casted or put into a boot. it WILL be taller than your normal footw2ear. ask for a castboot so you wont slip easily.  tbh ask for 2 of them. ( trust me on this) one for cast. and one for good foot. put that one over shoe. will be nearly even. ortho will give them to you ;)

LOL just thought about something. saw some photobucket adds in my inbox 17"x24" canvas print of an image of yours. ive got the 2400x1750res. diconn image from my records. tempting as a reminder to myself and others what NWB whether self imposed or imposed by ortho. ( yes im weird lol) tbh im looking forward to hearing your docs orders on your fib. i call simple minimal weightbearing limits once bones lined up youll heal quickly and be on road again before long. least its winter coming up you can work on getting ready by christmas and be on road early spring. even if you do have to have a plate installed. ( its a day surgery thing) go in am out in 4 hours total. mine turned into 3 days because of my diabetes crashing in recovery. but 1 day IF they have to operate. ( ORIF procedure) line bones up and done. go home and heal :)

Here's an update for you all. I got back from my doctors appointment yesterday and I have a permanent cast for 6 weeks. They wanted me to be off work for 6 weeks, but I couldn't do that so they dimmed it to 4 weeks. 3 weeks NWB then I can start walking on it with crutches. 4th week I can walk on it with the cast and go back to work. 5th week I get more X-rays to make sure everything is healing up well then 6th week I should get it off with no restrictions. As per school I need to start taking public transport (yay 2 hour commute on a bus -_-) but it could be worse of course.

Excellent. :)  theres always the option of a knee scooter if you must get around. ( put casted leg on it knee in its pad and push with good leg.  it DOES work. thought about it myself but issues with me prohibit it.) this might be an option if you need to get around quicker.

you should make out fine after 4 weeks youll see evidence of bone growth ( beginning stages) your fracture location was opposite mine. just keep the weight bearing to a minimum cause movement will slow down or stop bone growth. am approaching week 6 on mine. nothing yet. least youve got mass transit as an option. here i can use ethra vans to get around. least when your bones glue together you can then work on the bike. on a good note it happened near close of riding season

Not trying to boast or put anyone down, but I ride year round. I'm at a point now where the break site doesn't hurt when I put full weight on it, but still trying to listen to the doctor.
