I would like to thank everyone for the help in rebuilding my 2001 Gs500 that I got as a project bike. This bike came from a friend who let it sit out in all PA weather for the last 2 years with the valve cover off and no tarp or anything. I have taken this fun bike from the direction of scrap to the joys of back roads and highway fun. From new head, pistons, rings, barrels, seals, cafe racer bars, cat eye tail light, bar end mirrors and full carb rebuild. This bike is fun. Not the full out suicide race bike but still a joy to be on.  :D

You know this thread is useless without pics, right? ;)
'04 GS500F with 50k miles updated July 2022.
Ride it like a 2 stroke:
1: Rev high
2: Add oil
3: Repeat
