I figured i can either pick up an ebay beater phone which can be used as a wifi hotspot and take the place of this one, or since contract is now month to month on this verizon plan i can use it on it, or pick up a smartphone on a prepay plan and use as needed. hoping towards end of month, should be able to make this happen. using new phone along with tablet on wifi or as a hotspot on my pc. since im unable to work right now, make a few bux on ebay selling watches and jewelry. ( going to get microscope drivers via church wifi or via my office pc there. i keep forgetting lol :technical:) lol

EJ ... hangover? ... you get up to pee in the night? You replace that fluid with a glass of water before sleep again? ... or if you don't replace,  then do you feel perkier soon after a glass of water in the morning?

Don't know if I class mine as hangover but I'm seedier than a silo some mornings before my water!

yamahonkawazuki

seedier than a silo. an interesting way of putting it Eh?

Yes Sir. I keep water at bed-side and in the truck with me all day long as I drive.
I think the issue here may have something to do with being so uncomfortably close to 60.  :icon_neutral:

Lots of bodily changes in the last few years for me.
I'm used to being healthy and physically fit by default. Now it seems that it requires a good bit of effort to keep me feeling OK.

Not that I'm complaining but... from age 25 to about 55 was all the same to me (health wise). But as I round the corner to 60, It's damn obvious I can't keep up with the younger guys, especially in the stamina department.

Even on the bike... In a few hours I'm cooked, and quite satisfied to head back home and get warm.
I guess that's why God (or whoever) provided me with 2 skilled & healthy kids. My Son (23) recently rebuilt a Honda carb for me in about 20 minutes! It would have taken me about 4 hours to do that same job (not to mention the parts I would have probably dropped behind the work bench :icon_mrgreen:).

Ah sh!t... I'm rambling here. Sorry.  :icon_rolleyes:

20 min rebuilds!? ... sounds like a business opportunity! ...

At 44 I already don't bounce back like 5 years ago! ... this aging thing should be revamped I reckon! ;)

yamahonkawazuki

Hmm... I guess none of us here could be considered "youngsters"  :icon_rolleyes:

My Dad had a saying: "Aint no future in growing old"
Not sure what his point was but he sure as hell was old. He was born in 1919.

That's horse & wagon days for real!
I guess it's all relative though. My grandson looks at me like I'm a damn dinosaur.  :D

My friend i still want to see how tall you and your son are. that WR of his is a tall bike lol. my mother may GOD rest her soul said " better take care of yourself, 1 youre not young forever, and 2. you get older unless i kill you first. lol." ive outlived my invincibility stage of child/young adulthood. am paying for it dearly. now dealing with the neuropathy from diabetes, thats a given after 32 years. and placing hope and faith and prayers in the skills of the two surgeons who will have me in a couple weeks. my father born in 1946 broke his wrist at 12yo. he still feels it. i still have plans of working in a foreign country for a bit. ( seems everyone in family except sister and myself has done so.) if anything ill visit a fellow twinner across a border somewhere and help them with their bike or car or whatnot. im just NOW getting into pre-middle age. so i still have goals :) i want to ride another harley ( i miss my 883c a 2003) as well as acquiring another gs500. this one tho i want a basketcase.. Sorry again i jacked my own thread although for a first time, ive done it twice lol. my rant is against myself. had i listened to the well meaning advice of friends and even complete strangers, id not be in as bad of shape physically.

Come to Aussieland Yama! ... we can organise a rolling string of visits down the east coast at least! ... be like a Grand Tour! ;)

Electrojake

Me? 6' 3" at 190 pounds (naked)  :woohoo:
Son is more like my wife than me. He's not quite petite but, not a big fellow at all.

NOTE: Will bring Yama to Australia, (and maybe Jester too, as our driver).
My wife likes to play Lotto and such. Soon as she hits the million dollar prize I will indeed get my cut and bring Yama with me to Aussie-land for a month or two.

I want to get drunk and wrestle a drop bear too.
