Was in process of sorting shims out and bolt that holds can down has snapped, tried everything to get it out... Any suggestions

Those bolts are hardened to begin with..... I'd suggest taking the head off and taking it to a machine shop.

There are plenty of ways to try and get a snapped bolt out, but I just think that is your best option.

^^^ I second this!  :thumb:

Otherwise you have to try to carefully drill out the center of the bolt, then clear the threads.  Or over-drill it, and re-thread it with a larger size; a terrifying prospect. Seriously, take it to a machine shop; don't try to be a hero here!
