And use the wheelchair PLEASE. I know it's a pain and a pest and a nuisance and a plague, but it will give you at least a fighting chance of riding next season. So accept a little pain now for some long term gain. And you can paint the wheelchair ferrari red, or put GS500 stickers on it, or make it yours i any way you like. Just imagine what you can do!

Very pleased to hear that you don't need surgery! Some good news at last. Let's hope it keeps coming!
Back on bikes and loving it.

Another update: I can walk just fine, but my knee is burning and hurts. The break site hurts as well as tendon running up from my ankle. I had an MRI done last week and will find out what's going on on Monday. The pain is incapacitating and often have to sit down for an hour or so.

Idk the climate there BUT plan on arthritis.b even more if it rains and is cold then warm etc. ( post traumatic arthritis) i just got out of hosp. (  hosp acquired MRSA)  IN ON 24TH out on 30th.  severe pain under cast, i figured arthritis.  then temp went to 101.9 lol. anyhoo broken bone arthritis, ortho will go into greater details on this. mine was never set like R one was  but he says  its healing, says braced shoes are going to happen, then  ankle fusion. wtf. in your case im willing to guessit is still healing/strengthening, but arthritis will be a part of your life. ( weather/temp change  related) ortho can figure out solutions to this.

Sorry rage, just allot of nothing to say,  youre still healing. if it gets warmer, youll feel it. if colder same thing.   a front coming in, youll feel it.  with time, this will ease.

I've been riding while its 30-40 degrees F and my knee is the main thing that gives me problems. Doc said to use a foam roller to break everything up, but that hurts worse haha

Foam roller! ... I hate hate those bastards devices!

But the doc is 100% right...

Just do as many rolls as you can max tolerate a couple times a day. .  Within a single week you will notice improvement. ..

I tried to make between 5-10 rolls per set... 1st week was hell..

First day I was near tears. .. second day I swore a lot... third and 4th day was teeth clenched.... 5th and 6th were painful but manageable.... 2 days off and repeat schedule... end of 2nd week it was still sensitive but I could roll thru 10 ok...

Do I want to do it from initial pain levels ever again? No! ... I'd rather get kicked in the nuts!

But the effort was so VERY WORTH IT!

I also did a few days a week of bicycle riding on my MTB around local area... just easy pressure but consistent pedalling. .. first 10 mins each time were trying... pain twinges. . Once warmed up tho it was good! ... and the following days walking was very nice!

Its worth it bro! Promise!
