Good GOD mother of run on sentences... even with punctuation...

...will update tomorrow.
Aaron.
Yama, I think a lot like you type.
I may not have your patience (um, stamina?) to put it all into words, but I do think in similar terms.

And in honor of your marathon post, I submit the following self-serving, off-topic rant...

GSTwins makes up for all the other boards, and I do I mean ALL the other boards that simply cant let people say what needs to be said.

This is an off-topic section. It's your duty to smoke the keys right off the keyboard! Type until your fingers cramp.

If I like your obnoxiously long-winded, (um, border-line ramblings of a mad mad) posts, then let me have my jolly.

Why is it that the show of friendship or even the slightest camaraderie gets crushed on sight on most all the other forums I work?
LPW is the only place a thread like yours can live freely and frolic amongst the grand digital wasteland we call the internet. If you like putting up these insanely long posts (which I enjoy reading), then why should that upset any other members?

ANSWER: It shouldn't! Especially in an off-topic section, but haters are gonna' hate, and the internet is packed with them.

On the other forums I frequent The only time two or more forum members bond is when they are teaming up for a premeditated gang-rape on a junior member in a thread!

GSTwins stands head & shoulders above those other motorcycle forums that constantly swill negativity and venom.
I've seen Tee shirts with the saying "Haters' Gonna Hate" and never gave it much thought... Then I joined an internet forum. Now I understand.

Bless you GSTwins and the brave men that stand to defend The Tard Farm.
This place truly is Nirvana

I got rid of my GS a couple years ago, I still come here every day, but usually just to the "Farm", to see whats new here among the few "real" people to be found on the internet.

Keep up the friendly banter, and the occasional rants, coming here is one of the brightest parts of my day.

I own several brands of bikes so it's understandable that I would frequent several different boards, and GSTwins is by far the most humane of them all.

Maybe its because the GS500 is a humble little work horse, and GS500 owners didnt buy the bike so they could be "Jonny badass"
A 500cc air cooled parallel twin is sporty, and not an ego (or pen!s) enlarger like so many of the new mega-powered "must have" bikes are.

Closing thoughts...
Thank you Yama (and Toledo too) for allowing me to dump all over the Doctor's Advice thread when I should actually be in the Rant Thread.
Now I'm going to put on my black boots & Harley jacket and take a ride on my 50cc moped... Just to pi$s-off the Harley guys down the block.
Cool!

NOW i go to neuro for exam. THIS WILL be a detailed  testing. with likelyhood of hosp. :/ ( next door)

Is life as a healthy and relatively pain free monoped better than what you have now?

Ask the doctor the hard question: Will removing the damaged ped allow for the new wound (further up the limb) to heal in a proper manner and thus return you to health?

PM me with the details on your $300 fiscal crisis.

Either way im a monoped. just first one  has 2 feet.  yet virtually no support. i about fell several times.   the edema has reduced to semi normal. maybe 1.2 x larger. on bad day nearly 1.6x larger. Dr. Kahn is a VERY intelligent albeit can be considered  very slighy arrogant but, mistakes are few. Ive got to get both versions of ankle posted. time difference maybe 1.5 weeks. i USUALLY see the images before he does. ive got same program. ( very powerful img prog. can spin it almost  180 deg. here when i see him again, bringin the microsoft powerpoint tool. and hijack. his computer. albeit briefly. see his thoughts when pc mouse pointer wanders. lol. anyhoo, was able to bluetooth pair  my retired  ebay htc thunderbolt. and grab pics as needed. although program plus images are free. they charge for printouts of labs. ( i know ways around). sorry im rambling again. doc says as he walks in "mr thoWTF  happened to ankle.  dec 26th it was NOT like this.  what have you been d?oing? i went first name on him too. ( edward) ive pretty much beenu w uber lazy and careful. like him, my first   glipse of iti t was a lolWTF. I STARED AT IT ALONG SIDE him.  i have a plausible hypothesis.. next post covers this.  if this crap phone wouldnt  autosize it down,  images are LARGE.

Appreciate the compliment my friend. i grabbed this shot after seeing it. tthe tech helped me by dimming the light. i grabbed this one in case i have to deal with dr obvious again.  along with first dr. and jumbo nurse who said " you dont need narcotics" this last image  will   change his attitude.    when i pick my items up from pawn, ive got one tablet  ( 2 actually)   the quad core  will allow me to shut these folks up.   tbh will have to apply for disability. although medicaid  would have been worse. the zyvox at $100 per pill ,  medicaid would leave a couple grand as a copay. just  the zyvox. ANYHOO, the last 48 hours blue cross coveredy everything. at 100%. IF i followed  procedure. thisc ase i did.  the 11th ,  ran up around 40k.  ( more)

ANYHOO, got this info at 945am the 11th. neuro followupbwasbat 1015.  i mqade the 1/8 mi trip by 10am Neuro was waitinlg OUTSIDE for me. i had 3 img xray first. i said, i need a mask due to sta9h inssue. NOW, neuro said infection seems to be near remission  BUT, you need at least a fusion surgery. i said if it can be delayed at all id like to do so. i then changed viewd and contrast.   marrow was exposed. i said after seeing this  im thinking delay is not an option., adding i sposed it possible, BUT with marrow  Exposed as it was and the 1/4" offset on distal fib has now reversed itselfb180 deg.  neuro wondering what the fog looking stuff around it was, i replied i THINK ITS initial bone healing. Dr reat ( jean-francois paul) had plans for using this.. neuro said yeah thats right this was his baby Eh? i replied judging by damage severity, immediate surgery is not an option anymore. the fog may also be syndesmotic  rupture.  stuff between tib and fib. ANYHOO,  i said i see him  wednesday. neurd  said, Might, i finished, hear from himrfra earlier.   i said youd not have had to worry about it, e xcept 1 you were on call, and 2. the spinal explant. i said i want to see if youd consider snipping the nerve from distal fib. to kill pain. i saif  i know = dangerous and i agree. BUT when i cant get any pain relief whatsoever.  idk. i said here i was looking fwd to no longer requiring a wheelchair. ( more

bMethinks time for powerchair. on a perm. level.  just my hluse is not conducive for power chair use. Buddha had seen it. clutter aside,  logistics also. EXCEPT  for a kd smartchair.  its 5lbs lighter than my rental. i will try to get ins to cover it. EXCEPT KD DOESNT DO INSURANCCE SALES.  i said if a doctor  stated that flatulence was necessary for health recovery  bc would cover it. plus it folds in half. but  coming up with $1495, not feasible. ANYHOO, ITS on my list of things to get, SOON.  neuro said you MIGHT have 2 weeks  before you lose ALL support from bone. i said it seems deterioration is  accelerating at an exponential level.  2 weeks is possible. but any longr = not possible. neuro said how much time do you see before  movement becoms dangerous. i said  MAYBE 4 days tops. he said " i agree"  so i said, to play it safe,  MAYBE 2 days .  also  1  church service.  lengh of 3 hours. beyond this,  next time i return MI7GHT Be 6 months.  very specific restriction plus absolutely no weight bearing for an indefinate time.... ill work on getting stuff from pawnshop which hasjsentmentali reasons behind it. so i MUST do this. IF i dont return to hosp.  upon leaving primary doc at 4pm, temp close to 101f. tonightj it spiked  again. i jwas sweatinlg in 20f tem9s. anyhoo remnants of fibula on fire again. and swelling is builing. need help.  i ws thinkilg negative thoughts. but i was neside hosp. i waited. i fell of f the non smoking wagon. sec guard starts going off about it. i said after the diagnosis i just gotq. im tending to not care. feel free to call police. REAL police.  anyhoo ill be back mid day after talking with ortho and hosp.

Heres a breakdown of the now NECESSARY surgery and a suggestion of what im going to suggest to the orthopaedic surgeon. it will make NO sense when suggested by itself but when other conditions and diseases and variables are combined, youll see why im considering  doing this.
Im planning on asking for a major amputation. major meaning not just toes/digits, but the limb itself. up to roughly half way up the shin/tibia. this seems to be where above this line bone health seems better. below this line bone health seems to be non existant. then you add in the significant osteoporosis ( diag. this week) , AND the charcot foot and ankle. these conditions are irreversible. it also makes me think the fusion surgery pointless. the purpose of procedure is to stabilise the joint. prevent damage. forget further damage, the ankle pretty much destroyed itself 12 days. im risking likely osteomylitis ( infection in bone and marrow) by delaying surgery. medical community says this happening in opposite joint is unlikely unless fractures  and injury have already occured. well lol that is case . this was aug 12 fracture. AND surgery a week later. (Dr reat was wondering why the bone displaced in a weeks time requiring the ORiF surgery. the Ti plate and screws. inho  that plate screw thing is why that ankle is stable and not deteriorating it seems. the left ankle is gone. stability and strength  and security. a prosthetic limb is really the only guarantee. the prosthetic limb is my  suggestion. insurance will cover this. the powerchair they will not they WILL cover a powerchair ( they even proposed this) but transporting it isnt logistically feasible. its not possible to transport it in a compact car. which i have run me to where i need to go. the only  chair i found is the KD smartchair. it is by weight only 5lbs heavier than my rental and by cost its cheaper than the power chair insurance will cover. ( also quite a bit lighter  )  so if i move fwd with this ill figure out a way to purchase the chair. the procedure is not an option its a must. looking at xray , the marrow is exposed on multiple locations. further updates later this eve.

Update  before i meet the surgeons tomorrow.
I was thinking if i had not gotten up for a midnight snack and fainted id not have fractured the R ankle. But after the test results monday  it would have only been a natter of time. kinda like had adam and eve not partaken of the tree in the garden of eden, someone would have at some point. Anyways moving on;
on the 11th, first i find out bones are extremely weak. im almost twice the level of osteoporosis, i report to the neuro . it gets xrayed   3 views. both Dr  kahn as well as i see A Glaring difference in overall bone structure.i dont have to worry about osteomyelitis ( infection in my bones) ive a sinking feeling its already there. it means ill end up spending ALOT of time in hosp treating it. plus it is hell on my immune system which is already taxed fighting the staph/mrsa infection. then add in the charcot foot/ankle, this puts a new angle on things. Dr. reat wanted to perform an ankle fusion originally for strength and stability in this ankle joint. and to prevent further damage. with the charcot foot/diagnosis added, theres really no need to have this done. it will fail in short order if it even suceeds at all. the charcot would shorten the length of time a fusion would remain intact. combined with a significantly weakened bone system. its pointless to fuse ankle. and although it sounds odd, im going to suggest amputation half way up the shin.  where the bone is still healthy. and cap/seal the bones, fit with a prosthesis and begin life anew. i am optimistic  in this outcome. heres another potential concern. charcot foot usually wont be seen in BOTH feet at same time unless  there was either a fracture Or surgery recently  in that limb. the right ankle i had both a fracture AND surgery on it. tbh i think the titanium plate and screws are the only reason that ankle doesnt look like the other one. am going to ask that its xrayed tomorrow. ive got pain in it and on the medial side anyways, so might as well look into it. im looking at least 6 mos of a cast on left ankle MINIMUM. developed a chest cold as well as a few hours of vomiting overnight yesterday. why i fear/feel health is tanking. i almost wish i hadnt found out about this. nothing i can do to repair the damage, or rebuild back up. which is why i feel the amputation makes more sense.  neuro is asking how much time ive got left o antibiotic regimen. i guess to plan anything surgical. ill find out today at appointments. provided ive got long term  care coveragebi may look into nursing home. anyhoo will update yall after appointments today.

Dr reat was kinda in a pissy mood today. he gives the "park it" speech. i said okaaay, um how do i pee?,  thats when he says figure it out. as i said youre WELL on way to amputation. ankle will never heal correctly. neuro was a bit more informative. anyyhoo  ill start making calls in am to wound care, then to whoever else, have to plan this out. think the wound has to go first before any surgeries happen. but i guess fusion at this point is possible. beyond that idk. he may figure that out. ( the bone testing as well as the charcot diagnosis)
